MY STORY

How I started

I am a full time elementary teacher, so I would say creativity is in my blood! About 6 years ago I bought a small cake decorating kit and started playing around with designing small cakes for gatherings and friend's birthdays.

This quickly evolved into buying a larger decorating kit and trying out more techniques and ideas. Family and friends began asking me to make cakes for their birthday parties, baby showers, wedding showers, etc.

Now it seems whenever I take a cake somewhere I get asked, "Do you have business cards?", so I thought the time has come to turn this hobby into a small side business....ButterKream Kreations by Kristin!

Although fondant looks beautiful, I find that most people don't want to eat it. I want people to eat ALL of my cakes, thus my specialization in creating buttercream designs!

Most of my cakes have been done by copying cakes, or even just clip art or coloring sheets found online, so if you find a design or picture you like, please contact me and we can work together to create the perfect cake!
